George Degraw

George E. DeGraw, 69, of Crown Point,NY died Friday, June 16, 2017 at Essex Center Rehab of Elizabethtown, NY. George was born October 29, 1947 in Cornwall, NY, the son of George E. and Elizabeth (McDonnnell) DeGraw. He served in the US Army and received the Purple Heart Medal for his combat in Viet Nam. He was retired from Marketing Information Technologies, Rye, NY. as Vice President of Operations. He was a member of the Ticonderoga American Legion George was an avid fisherman and fished everywhere on the east coast from Canada to Florida. He was also a great entertainer and was famous for his pig roasts which were enjoyed my many friends and family. The past few years he was able to enjoy the winters with his camping friends in Matlacha, Florida. He is survived by his wife: Joyce (Harrington) DeGraw at home; Brothers Jack DeGraw and wife Kathy of Warwick, NY, Paul DeGraw of Seal Beach, CA and Jeff DeGraw and wife Sharon of Warwick,NY. Two brothers-in-law Tom Harrington and wife Barbara of Wesley-Chapel, Fl. and Jim Harrington of Goshen, NY. He is also survived by his six nieces and nephews Jeff DeGraw, Jon DeGraw, Brock DeGraw, Cara DeGraw, Bridget Geary and Kristen Geary. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at St. John The Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 21 from 4-8 pm at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
