Ferdinand Brauchler, 68, of Goshen passed away Friday, November 30, 2007 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence in Newburgh. Fred was born December 4, 1938 Feketic, Yugoslavia. He was the son of Heinrich Brauchler, Sr. and Katrina Gutwein Brauchler. Fred was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Walden and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a Machinist for VAW of America in Ellenville from October 2, 1986 until he retired on March 20, 2002. Fred was a loving husband and father. He loved his home and family and took great pleasure in making both the inside and outside of his house beautiful. Fred loved fishing, gardening, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife: Christine Brauchler at home; two sons, John Peter Brauchler of Boston, MA and David James Brauchler of Salinas, CA; stepdaughter, Marion Corrao of New York, NY; brother Henry Bauchler Jr. and wife Elizabeth of Yorktown Heights, NY and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Thursday, December 6, 2007 from 4-7 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St., Goshen, with a Service in the Funeral Home at 7:00 pm with Pastor Ray Cummings officiating. Burial will be in the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Goshen at a later date. Donations in Freds memory may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties Inc., Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, 1 Sunrise Lane, Newburgh, NY 12550.
