Evelyn Jacobs Warren, 95, of Goshen passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at Valley View Center for Nursing Care & Rehab, Goshen, NY. Evelyn was born January 6, 1917 in Rocky Mount, NC, the daughter of Edward and Eular Welch. She was the wife of John A. Warren; they were married in 1942 and owned a home in St. Albans, NY. She is survived by her husband, John Warren; and her family, Soraya Smith, Khadri Smith; great-great grandchildren, Chana Markiewicz, Kasey Gillis, Krystall DeSheers; great-great-great grandchildren, Bryana, Jaylen, Tryston and Jaxson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Wilkin and Edward and sister, Alease Moultrie. Visitation will be Monday, September 17 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY, with a family service at 6:00 pm. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 18 at 12:00 pm at St. James Episcopal Church, 1 St. James Pl., Goshen, NY with Fr. Carl Lunden officiating. Burial will be private at a later date. As Evelyn was a devout animal lover, donations may be made to the Evelyn Warren Fund and sent to Forsyth Veterinary Hospital located at 2556 South Stratford Rd, Winston-Salem, NC, 27103.
