Erin Ortiz

Erin Ortiz, age 18, of New Hampton, NY died Monday, October 8, 2007 at Westchester County Medical Center, Valhalla, NY. Erin was born December 5, 1988 in Goshen, NY the daughter of Raymond Ortiz Jr. and Catherine Lambertson Ortiz. She was a 2007 graduate of Goshen High School, a recipient of the Medina Award during graduation, she also participated in Goshen Soccer, Basketball, Softball and was a Scholar Athlete. Erin was presently attending Bentley College in Waltham, MA. Family statement: Erin was our shinning star. She is survived by her parents, Catherine and Raymond Ortiz, Jr. of New Hampton, NY; Paternal grandmother Tomasita Serrano of the Bronx, NY; Paternal Grandfather Ramon Ortiz of New York, NY; brother Raymond Patrick Ortiz at home; sister, Megan Elizabeth Ortiz at home; several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Visitation will be Saturday, October 13, 2007 from 7-9 pm and Sunday, October 14, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South Church St., Goshen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 15, 2007 at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, Murray Avenue, Goshen, NY. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Goshen. In Lieu of flowers, a scholarship is being created in Erins name.
