Elisa O'Hare

Elisa O'Hare September 7, 1948 - March 12, 2011 South Blooming Grove, NY Elisa O'Hare (Nee Magnani), born in Gravagna, Italy and formerly of the Bronx, NY passed into eternal rest, at home, surrounded by loving family on March 12, 2011. She was the daughter of Ernesto Magnani and Mary Fillipo Magnani of Gravagna, Italy both of whom predeceased her. Elisa was a long time area resident and a twenty-seven year employee, as Director of Patient Records, at the New York Westchester Medical Center, Bronx, NY where her fellow employees respected and admired her. She is survived by her loving husband, of forty-one years, James, son, James John and his wife Angelina and their adored daughter Gabriella Rose who was Elisa's shining star and ray of light. Also surviving are her loving family members: brothers, Sereno Magnani, Mauro Magnani and his wife Adele, Quinto Magnani and his wife Vilma, John Magnani and his wife Maureen and Livio Magnani and sister Lucy Magnani Azario and her husband Bruno, brother-n-law John O'Hare and his wife Kathy as well as many nieces and nephews. Elisa is best remembered by her family and friends for her strength of character, compassion, generosity and her deep and abiding love for others. She will never be forgotten. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 South St., Goshen, NY 10924, (845) 294-6422. A funeral will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Monroe NY on March 16, at 10:00 AM, with burial following at the Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen, NY, In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made, in Elisa's name, to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties and to a memorial college fund for her granddaughter Gabriella.
