Edward Fritsche

12/27/1937 - 12/24/2018 Edward Thomas Fritsche He entered external peace, and returned to his pre-deceased wife, Patricia Fritsche of Goshen, New York. Survived by: daughter Karen Fritsche, of Oswego, New York, son Edward Fritsche of Middletown, New York, grandson Shane Fritsche, and his wife, Shannon, of Mineola, New York, grandson Anthony Cuomo, his wife Beata, and great- granddaughter Kira, of Fulton, New York, granddaughter Cherie, of Oswego, New York, niece Renée Anderson, and her two daughters, Michelle, and Renée, of South Carolina, and partner, Jackie Bloem-Powers. Edward Fritsche grew up in the Philippines, and graduated high school while living in Guam. He was an active swimmer throughout high school and while attending Queens College, in New York. He graduated with a masters degree in chemistry which lead him to his careers as a chemist for Union Carbide, Technicon, and Bayer Corporation where he eventually rose to management positions. He worked for the National Guard during the Korean War, was an active member of the Masons Lodge, served as a local judge for Science Olympia at Goshen High School, and formerly taught at Orange County Community College, in Middletown, New York, as a chemistry professor. Edward was devoted to religion and was an active member of St. Grace, in Middletown, and St.James in Goshen. Visitation will be Friday, January 4 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY A Visitation will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, 1 St James Place, Goshen, NY on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:30 am.
