Edward Bennett

Edward S. Bennett, 87, died Monday, August 12, 2013 at home in Goshen. Edward was born December 28, 1925 in Middletown, NY, the son of Stanley Bennett and Rose Miller Bennett. Ed served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was in the Normandy Landing Invasion. He received the American Theater Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Medal, the 1 Star Philippine Liberation Medal, and the 2 Stars Victory Medal. He was a life long resident of Orange County and loved hunting and fishing. Ed is survived by his brothers, Raymond Bennett and wife Irene of Winter Haven, FL; Walter Bennett and wife Margaret of Cocoa, FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, wife, Frances; and 2 brothers, Barney and Stanley Bennett Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
