Edmund J. Gilsinan Jr, 89, of South Blooming Grove passed away at home with his loving family by his side on Friday, December 11, 2020.

Edmund was born May 9, 1931 in Maywood, NJ, the son of the late Edmund Gilsinan Sr and Eva Gilsinan.

Edmund was a line supervisor for PSE&G and a school bus driver for Washingtonville Central School District. Edmund enjoyed a good meal and he loved traveling, especially taking cruises with his late wife.

He is survived by his children, Patricia Leinweber of Warwick, James Gilsinan and wife Kerry of Gloucester, VA, Lynne Schaffer and husband Kevin of Washingtonville, Margaret Decker of Salisbury Mills, and Norma Nicoliello of South Blooming Grove; 8 grandchildren, Megan Carey, James Gilsinan Nicoliello, Sean Gilsinan, Mary Carey, Kristen Decker, Colleen Decker, Samantha Nicoliello; 10 great grandchildren, his brother Charles Gilsinan of Florida and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Kelly Ann Gilsinan, his wife Helyn Gilsinan, his son in laws Charles Decker Jr., James Leinweber and his sister Celeste Darley.

The family would like to thank the caregivers of Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, the Critical Care nurses of Good Samaritan Hospital, and the personal care assistants who all aided the family in allowing Edmund to pass peacefully at home.

Visitation will be Monday, December 14, 2020 from 4-7 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary's RC Church, Washingtonville, NY.

Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Washingtonville, NY.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations in Edmund's name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
