Edmund V. Caplicki, Sr., 95, of Goshen, died Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Born October 27, 1920 in Florida, NY, the son of Stanley and Mary (Crist) Caplicki. He was the widower of Pauline (Kamrowski) Caplicki. Ed served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served with the 106th Engineer Construction Battalion and received numerous rewards and citations including the Bronze Star He retired from Dutchess Quarry & Supply Co., Inc. Goshen, NY as a Manager. Member of the American Legion Post 1250, the Goshen Masonic Lodge 365, Middletown Elks Lodge 109; Dikeman Engine and Hose Co., Goshen, NY and Many other not for profit organizations, charitable institutions and fraternal orders in the Hudson Valley area. Past Mayor of Goshen, NY. and Trustee of the Village of Goshen. Past President and member of the Board of Education Goshen Central School District, past President of the Goshen Little League and past President and member of the Wa-A-We Rod and Gun Club He is survived by his children, Edmund V. Caplicki, Jr. and wife Patricia of LaGrangeville, NY, Dennis P. Caplicki and wife Janet of Goshen, Darlene Stevens and husband Ronald of Niantic, CT and Brian J. Caplicki and wife Ann M. of Goshen; 11 grandchildren, Edmund V. Caplicki III, Justin Caplicki, Kimberly Romero, Kelly Henson, Matthew Caplicki, Shannon Barbone, Brian Caplicki Jr., Kevin Caplicki, Sean Stevens, Paige Quilliam and Brooke Stevens; and 13 great grandchildren. Pre-Deceased by a son – Alan A. Caplicki Visitation will be Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY.
