Edith M. Bruen, 89, of Middletown, NY passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Middletown Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Care, Middletown, NY. Edith was born August 19, 1927 in Middletown, NY, the daughter of the late Charles Brown and the late Edith May (Hasbrouck) Brown. She was a lifetime area resident and retired from the Middletown State Hospital, Middletown, NY as a Cook; she was a Jehovah Witness. She is survived by her son, John D. Bruen of Goshen, NY; sister, Florence Price of the state of Florida; brother, Nelson Brown of Middletown, NY; also survived by Nancy Bruen of Middletown, NY; 2 grandsons, Jordan D. Bruen and Duane Lee Bruen and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John Bruen, Jr. A Memorial Visitation will be on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 12 to 1 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY Burial of Cremains will follow at Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 111 Craigville Rd., Goshen, NY.
