Doris Strong Goshen, New York Doris Strong, 92, of Goshen died Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Doris was born January 30, 1921 in Hamlet of Wallkill, the daughter of Levi and Mildred Keyes. She was the widow of Gerard Strong, Sr.. Doris was a volunteer at Orange County Home and Infirmary, she delivered Meals on Wheels, was instrumental in organizing the Goshen Senior Center, a member of Goshen Senior Citizens Club where she served as secretary for 14 years and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved playing poker with the seniors, enjoyed scratch offs, word books and bingo at St. John's. She is survived by 2 sons, William Gerard Strong, Jr. and wife Arlene of Bloomingburg, and Michael J. Strong and significant other Christine Ruhl of Port Charlotte, FL; 4 grandchildren, Jeffrey Strong and wife Melinda, Beth Strong, Gerard W. Strong and fianc, Rebecca Reilly, Bridget Olson and husband Scott; great grandson, Parker Olson. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Gerard, sister, Gertrude Black and 2 brothers, Vernon Keyes and Donald Keyes. Visitation will be Sunday, February 24 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Funeral Service will be on Monday, February 25 at 10:00 am in the Funeral Home Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
