Donald J. Gutierrez "Big Don" Middletown, New York Donald J. Gutierrez, "Big Don" 75, of Middletown, NY, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 24, 2009. Donald was born August 19, 1933 in Brooklyn, NY the son of Edward J. and Antoinette M. (Tedesco) Gutierrez. He was the widower of Mary Kiesling Gutierrez. Don was a truck driver for Wakefern Food Corp., in Middletown, NY, a retired Teamster, a Veteran of the Korean War and an avid gambler who fulfilled his life long dream of visiting Las Vegas in 2008. Don is survived by his sons, Thomas J. Gutierrez of Middletown and Steven M. Gutierrez of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; daughters, Laura Sue Gutierrez of Dingmans Ferry, NY, Angela M. Gutierrez of Derby, CT and Donna L. Gutierrez of Portland, OR; sister, Elaine G. Seifert of Middletown; 6 grandsons; 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Visitation will be Friday, March 27, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church St. Goshen, NY. A Memorial Mass will be Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 10:00 am at St. John's the Evangelist R.C. Church, Murray Avenue, Goshen. Burial will be at the Orange County Veterans Memorial Cemetery at a later date.
