DENNIS J. MAHONEY April 7, 1934 – October 21, 2015 Middletown, NY Dennis J. Mahoney, born in New Rochelle, NY, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at St. Anthony Community Hospital, Warwick, NY with his family at his side after a short illness. He was 81 years old. Dennis is survived by his wife Joan O'Boyle Mahoney; his son Dennis III (Eileen) of Goshen, NY, his son Kevin of Salem, OR and his son Brian (fiancée Ann Landon Stonesifer) of Lutherville, MD; and his beloved grandchildren: Dennis (DJ) IV, Tommy and Katie of Goshen, NY, Daniel of Portland, OR and Jessica, Craig, Jack, Benjamin and Parker of MD. Dennis is also survived by his siblings: Michael, Nancy [Sister Madeline Maria], Denise (Tom) DeTorres, and Therese (Robert) Kelly. Dennis has a large extended family of in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many other dear friends. He was predeceased by his daughter Tracey and grandson Sean. In keeping with Dennis' wishes, his body will be cremated. There will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date at the convenience of the family. Burial will be private. The family wishes to extend a very special "Thank You" to the physicians, nurses and care givers at St. Anthony Community Hospital who took such loving care of Dennis. You treated us all like family, and we felt blessed. If one is so inclined, the family has requested that in lieu of flowers a memorial donation in Dennis' memory can be made to either of the following worthy organizations: St. John Pre-K Program, 59 St. John Street, Goshen, NY 10924, or Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, Inc., 90 Crystal Run Road, Suite 401, Middletown, NY 10940.
