Catherine Quinn

Catherine F. "Kay" Quinn, 98, of Goshen, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Valley View Center in Goshen, NY. Kay was born September 3, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Francis and Catherine Josephine (O'Neill) Moran. She was the widow of Thomas E. Quinn. Retired from the Orange County Health Department, Kay was a long time parishioner of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church. Previously a member of the parish council, she served as a Eucharistic Minister; a member of St. John's Altar Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters of America. Kay was also active in Meals-on-Wheels; Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Goshen Seniors; and CSEA. She is survived by her son, Thomas B. Quinn of Goshen; daughters, Kathleen M. Quinn of Middletown, Regina F. Decker and husband Joseph of Goshen and Maureen P. Quinn of Middletown; granddaughters, Christine M. O'Connor and husband David and Maureen E. Black and husband Thomas; three great granddaughters, Erin, Catherine and Madelyn O'Connor; and many nieces and nephews. Kay was predeceased by her husband Tom; sister, Lillian Kehoe; and brother, Francis Moran. Visitation will be Sunday, October 4 from 2 to 6 P.M. at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Monday, October 5, 2015 at St. John The Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Goshen, NY. Donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made in memory of Kay to the Lil Kehoe Scholarship, St. John's School, Goshen, NY to help fund the education of a needy child.
