Beatrice Rakov

Beatrice Emily Rakov, age 79, of Maybrook, NY, passed away Friday, December 29, 2006 at Glen Arden Health Care Center, Goshen. Mrs. Rakov was born November 11, 1927 at Monongahela, PA the daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice Hoover. She was a homemaker and for many years she was a member of St. james Episcopal Church, Goshen, Alter Guild and Vestry. She worked with Meals on Wheels for years, delivering food. She was an avid rug hooker, quilt maker and needlepoint creator. She did extensive sewing projects and enjoyed gardening. She is survived by her husband Robert W. Rakov, MD of Maybrook; one son, Robert Daniel Rakov, MD and his wife Theresa of Snyder, TX; two daughters, Kathryn Van Patten and her husband Dr. James Van Patten of Boston, MA; Lisa St. John and her husband Brent of Pacific Palisades, CA; eight grandchildren; one niece, Jenny Richter of Elizabeth, PA Memorial Service will be Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007 at 11:00 AM at St. James Episcopal Church, 1 St. James Pl, Goshen.
