Awilda Martinez

Awilda Martinez, 71, of Monroe, died Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, NY. Awilda was born May 20, 1947 in Ensenada, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Ramon and Dora (Torres) Almodovar. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Awilda and Charles recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary together. Awilda is survived by her husband and best friend, Charles Martinez at home; sons, Anthony Martinez and wife Tracy of Goshen NY, James Martinez and wife Tracie of Stow OH, and Paul Martinez, Sr. and wife Jackie of Huguenot NY; her sister, Millie Almodovar; five grandchildren, Olivia, Addison, Bennett, Paul Jr., and Charles Martinez; and her beloved dog, Star. A Graveside service and burial will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 111 Craigville Rd, Goshen, NY.
