Arthur H. Slingerland Goshen, New York Arthur H. Slingerland, 95, of Goshen, died Friday, November 21, 2014 at Valley View Center for Nursing & Rehab, Goshen, NY. Arthur was born July 17, 1919 in Warwick, NY, the son of Harold and Mary (DeGraw) Slingerland. He was the widower of Edna Slingerland. He was a Master Sergeant and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Singer in Warwick, NY. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Edna and Mary Slingerland of Goshen; 3 sisters, Dorothy Manzo of Middletown, Betty Eldridge of Arkansas, and Fay Edwards and husband Donald of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 25th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Chester Cemetery, Chester, NY.
