Arthur De Dufour

Arthur W. de Dufour, 79, of Goshen, entered into rest on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at home. Arthur was born in the Bronx, NY, the son of Arthur W. de Dufour and Mary Rose (Mayor) de Dufour. Arthur served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He worked for UPS in NYC from 1962-1982 and retired after 20 years as Division Manager. From 1983-2000 he worked for the Orange County Court System as Deputy Chief Clerk. He was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church in Goshen, and served as a Eucharistic Minister there for over 30 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Josephine; son, Gregory and wife Barbara; daughter Denise (Sullivan) and husband, James; son Scott and partner, Wesley; daughter Susan (Dudgeon) and husband, Kevin. He dearly loved his grandchildren, Izzy, Kyle and Sophia, and his great granddaughters, Jordan and Jaiden. He is also survived by his beloved sisters, Mary, Frances, Katherine, Jeanne and Ruth, their husbands and his many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved brother William. Arthur was an extremely kind and thoughtful man who touched the hearts of many. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 13, from 3-6 pm at the Donovan Funeral Home, Inc., 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 at 10 am at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial with Military Honors will be at a later date in the Orange County Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Goshen.
