Anne Rakowitz, 93, of Middletown died Thursday, March 7, 2013 at home. Anne was born August 3, 1919 in Paterson, NJ, the daughter of Morris and Sophie (Krohn) Berman. She was the widow of Rubin Rakowitz. She was a member of the Women's American ORT Organization for Rehabilitation through Training. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Lottero and husband Dennis of Fort Lee, NJ and Roslyn Cuffee and husband Jerry of Rome, NY; grandchildren, Lesley Witkowski and husband Peter, Stacy Morace and husband Todd, Barrie Sultan and husband A.J. and Robert Schwartz; 3 great grandchildren, Samantha and Andrea Witkowski and Amanda Morace as well as many nieces and nephews. The family would to thank the nurses of Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties for the care and kindness they showed. The Funeral Service will be Sunday, March 10 at 11:30 am at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY with Rabbi Stamler officiating. Burial will follow in Temple Beth Shalom Cemetery, Florida, NY. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Anne's name to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
