Ann M. Volkmer Goshen, New York Ann M. Volkmer, 83, a lifetime area resident of Goshen peacefully passed away with her family around her Thursday, July 14, 2011 at Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, Newburgh, NY. Ann was born September 11, 1927 in Goshen, NY, the daughter of John and Gertrude (Mann) Richner. She was the widow of Charles J. Volkmer. Ann was a Sales Associate at the Baby Place/Toy Place, Goshen, NY, a former member of the Otterkill Ladies Auxiliary, member of St. John's Church and an avid Yankee fan and NY Rangers fan. She is survived by her daughter, Jean M. Schreiner and her daughter Jessica of Goshen, NY; 2 sons, Joseph C. Volkmer and wife Suzanne of Campbell Hall, NY their children, Julie, Charles, Kiersti, Joseph and Jenna; James W. Volkmer and wife Dawn of Chester, NY and their children, Ernst, Michael and Scott; brother Jack Richner of Goshen; 2 sisters, Fran George of Middletown and Trudy Roach of Florida formerly of Middletown; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ann was predeceased by her parents, husband Charles and 2 sisters, Theresa LiFrieri and Sally Koeppel. Visitation will be Sunday, July 17 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Donovan Funeral Home, Inc, 82 South Church Street, Goshen, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 am on Monday, July 18 at St. John The Evangelist R.C. Church, 71 Murray Ave, Goshen, NY. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Washingtonville.
