Alex Palo

Alex Palo, 81, of Goshen, died Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Orange Regional Medical Center, Middletown, NY. Alex was born February 17, 1935 in Oakland, CA, the son of Carl A. Schmidt and Loretta (Hummer) Schmidt. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean and Vietnam wars from 1953 to 1971. He was a 20 year Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Palo at home; his children, Alex Palo, Jr. of Lampasas, TX, David Palo of Ellenville, NY, Jeanne Marie Brumbelow and her husband Pat of Lampasas, TX, Robert Palo and his fiancé Lori Lesko of Napanoch, NY, Christopher Palo and his Wife Deanna of Clayton, NC; 9 grandchildren, Diana, Kelly, Thomas, Christina, Sarissa, Tyler, Emily, Ben and Kaylei; 2 great grandchildren, Kirk and Nora and one on the way. Extended family in California, Maine and Texas. "Your watch is over sailor, your orders have changed. It's time to go home." Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
