Alberta Elizabeth Kelsey

Alberta E. Kelsey of Goshen, NY, passed away on January 23, 2021. She was 83. Daughter of the late Gordon F. Udall, Sr., and Clara E. Ashworth Udall, she was born on August 29, 1937, in Amityville, NY. Alberta married Clifford E. Kelsey, Jr., on August 22, 1959, and together they celebrated 61 years of marriage. Alberta and Cliff resided at Glen Arden for 5 1/2 years. Alberta was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Goshen and active in many organizations that brought her much pleasure, including Ajamoor Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star; Minisink Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution; Colonial Dames; Warwick Quilt Guild; Florida Quilt Guild; and Redwork Quilters. She was a Paul Harris Fellow through the Goshen Rotary Club. Alberta graduated from the State University Teachers College in New Paltz and belonged to the Clio Sorority. She taught in Goshen schools for over 25 years. In addition to her husband, Alberta is survived by her three children: Gwendolyn E. K. Bondi (James), of Albany, NY; Jeannine E. K. Tocco (Richard), of Pleasantville, NY; and Russell C. Kelsey, of Goshen; four grandchildren: Brooke E. Bondi Olds (Eric), of Schenectady, NY; J. Clifford Bondi, of Schenectady, NY, Evelyn C. Tocco, of Goodyear, AZ, and Audrey J. Tocco, of Greeley, CO; her sister, Lila J. Udall Ferris of Ogdensburgh, NY, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Gordon F. Udall, Jr. At the request of the family, memorial services shall be private. Burial will be in Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Goshen, NY.
